Chapter had been abandoned up on the reservation in Riverton and we got him his first day in Rock Springs.
Baby Chapter
The vet at the Humane Society told us they thought Chapter was about 3 months old at the time but our regular vet later told us they thought he was probably a little younger than that.
He started right off being so well behaved we could hardly believe it. He didn't chew anything he shouldn't, didn't have accidents in the house, and almost never barked. He's still a wonderful puppy and we still think we're pretty lucky, but the no-chewing phase has worn off. I think he's starting to get better, but these are a few of the scenes we'd come home to after leaving him for fairly short amounts of time:
Sometimes he seemed quite pleased with his work.
I think he knew he was in trouble this time.
The board was me. I put it in front of the book case so he couldn't get to it, I think.
This was about a month's supply of toilet paper. For quite some time we had a bag of small pieces and rolls with chunks missing as options in the bathroom. It took an explanation every time we had a guest.
Exploring an old house in the desert
A silly face at the dog park
(we really are this in love with our dog--we're quite ridiculous about him)
He has just recently been able to start going in the water. This was yesterday at the North Platte River in Casper. He saw a seagull and tried to chase it.
